An observation made today

While at my dealer checking on the status of my order, I noticed that all the Regensburg built 325s equipped with sport package (3-4 cars) only had the Pirelli tires installed. No bridgestones...

Aren't the Pirelli's considered better? I did an ED, and I was very happy to see my car come with the Pirelli Euphori@'s

the pirelli's are junk compared to the bridgestones

check www.tirerack.com

or since I had the bridgestones on my Z4 and pirelli's on my 325 I can tell you the pirelli's squeal like a pig around any spirited coirner and have less grip than the bridgestones

It all depends on what gets delivered to the factory on the week of your build.

No factory only gets one make.

Ive whatched some of the lots arriving at my local dealer. they would have all Bridgestone one time I go, the next time I go all are Continental, next time there is a mix betwenn Michelin and Bridgestone.

The Pirelli's do squeel which I hate - it draws attention to your adventurous driving and people think you're driving like a maniac.

Mine are Bridgestone Potenza ---I am in my ivory tower at work so cannot go down to look but they are the high performance summer tires (run flat of course), in the same dimension as your Eufori@s

HA ha, BTW yesterday I went to a client who lives in an area of narrow country roads on the South Shore of Montreal. I was able to put the Dunlop M3s winter run flats through their paces on wet/dry cold (some frost) roads. Excellent grip - no squealing and no DSC intervention.

So far I am quite happy with my winter tire choice.

When I get back my cheapo wheels will have arrived and I'll mount my NON-RSC M3s on the car. I've read a lot of good stuff about them.

There's even a thread on bimmerfest in the E90 section, the guy wrote a great review.

I gather you bought 17" wheels for your winters?

Yes, I want to reserve the right to get a 330 later on without having to fork over more money for new rims/tires.

Good idea.

Man, we hijack a lot of threads with our personal chatter, don't we?

Yeah I was thinking, your car must have passed its break-in period by now?

Did you hear that 7K RPM song?

Today I was heading up (or should I say Launching) the onramp to the 40 out of Hudson's exit 22...in Sport mode....criky that thing don't shift 'til it's at 6600rpm, and then you're doing 130 in 4th gear....

I'm at 2600kms in two weeks: )

Yes, the song is sweet!
