E90 sport seat squeak and excess movement?

My 2008 335 has the sport seats, and squeaks with minor movement.

Also, is this normal: if I rock back and forth, I feel the seat has a bit too much movement back and forth. Is that how it is or is a bolt loose?

Funny, I took in my 08 335 a few weeks ago for really bad driver's seat squeaking... If I had my left foot on the footrest and pushed against it, I'd get a really bad squeak coming from the lumbar area. My seat wasn't loose at all though. I don't know what they did, but I presume greased some things, as it was fixed. I don't know if they had to take the seat apart though, sorry. I don't think they did, as IIRC, the number of hours charged for that line item was like 10 to 15 mins. There seems to be more grease in the rails now.

Op, had the same problem with my sport seats. Took it to Prestige BMW, and they said the seats had to be retorked. So far, so good. Hope this will help.

Thanks - I'm going to have it looked at next time. My new car warranty expires next month, but I have cpo for 2 more years - does cpo cover this?

I would bring it in during new car warranty. It doesn't take long to repair.

I took it in, and they retightened the seat screws- it does not move anymore.

Unfortunately it still squeaks, I think it's the leather and plastic around the seat extension portion for me.
