Just wanted to post a FYI on here for people who are experiencing a thumping sound while driving. After replacing my original front rotors the sound was still there. After searching on here I was about to change the front wheel bearings and/or control arms. However I found the solution. It was my run flat tires!!!!! I purchased new tires (non-run flat) for the rear and didn't touch the front ones. I decided to swap the rears for the fronts and all the thumping went away! Going to get them balanced. Anyway if you are experiencing thumping sounds it can be your tires.

If no codes are being thrown use Chevron Techron fuel injector cleaner (concentrate). It solves rpm fluctuating upon cold start-up. Also, for most BMW problems start off by scanning your car with the Peake Research Tool. It contains the actual BMW codes. If you want to register a newly installed battery for free (just buy a $10 cable) and google/download BMWLogger
