My colleague's Audi RS5 Euro delivery report

One of my colleagues recently came back from Europe, where he got to pick up his new Audi RS5 and drive it around the Alps for a week.

Have a look and see how the other half (Audi owners) live:

I'm looking at another Euro Delivery next year and would consider an Audi if it weren't for having to pay the VAT up front. It is completely ridiculous that I should have to front them 15K for 2-3 months waiting for redelivery. Seems no where near as fluid as BMW, sadly the new M3 is not going to be ready by this time next year.

aajami, would you ever trade your 09 M3 for one of these? I think it looks stunning, but I wish there was a bit more performance.

Buddy from work has one as well. Very nice looking car but no 3-pedal option loses me immediately. What the hell are these companies doing?

I would probably go through the experience of Euro delivery and hit a deer after a week in the states.

I test drove one about a month ago, and it's really an amazing machine. That said, while it had a bit more grunt than my car, it lacked the M3's urgency and (relative) nimbleness. It definitely felt like a grand tourer, while the M3 combines GT characteristics with those of a sports car.

I wouldn't kick it out of bed, but I'd keep my car over trading it in for an RS5.
