Damage done to front bumper!!!!!

im soo pissed off. I have been avoiding deers in my area for the past 2 years that ive been driving. My baby is only a month old, and i was coming home last night on a main road in central jersey and all of a sudden as i was going 40 a deer jumps out in front of my car from the forest and smack. I hit the brakes hard but still hit the deer and sent it flying, hitting it in the ass.

Now i have a depression in my hood and right kidney grill. Thankfully it seems as though nothing else has been damaged. I might take some pics and post em up. Anyone know if insurance covers deer related accidents?

BTW: yes the deer died and was floping around like a fish after it stupidly ran out onto the road.

Anyone been through similar incidents?

hit a curb at the mall yesterday in a rush to get my sons picture taken. It will be covered under comp. i believe. I had my e46 fixed by the people circle bmw uses and it came out perfect. You may want to give them a call.

i dont know what to do here guys...im losing my mind knowing that this happened.

I took so much effort in order to keep my car tip top shape...i never smoked inside the car, always washed it, always parked farther away from other cars, always kept the exterior and interior sparkling new.

And out of nowhere this happens. Why this dumb luck?

Couple of questions for anyone who knows...
1. Will my dealership give me a loaner while my e90 is in the body shop?
2. The left side of the hood wont close for some reason...does this mean that rain will get into the engine compartment? What should i do?

I feel your pain, bro. I had my left side mirror ripped off by the protruding pipe rack on a plumbing truck about a month ago.

It sucks bad when you new car gets smashed.

My insurance is through Auto Club so I went to one of the authorized repair shops in my area. I've had work done by them several times over the years and their work is excellent and they did a good job.

I would check with your dealer as well as your insurance company to see what options you have, your insurance might pay for a rental while yours is being repaired. Bottom line is you need more information in order to make an informed decision on what to do next. A little rain going under the hood won't hurt anything, but by all means get it fixed as soon as you can. Good luck and keep us posted.

As said, your ins. might pay for a rental car while yours is in the shop - depending on your ins. Body shop work always = $$$$$ - weight the options carefully, it might be wise to collect insurance, then if it takes a huge hike, shop around for a new company. Good luck - post some pics if you get a chance...

I hit a coyote in a rental van one night.... Totally jacked up the bumper and headlight. Made me really think about how I would have handled it in my E90....

It's covered under comprehensive, so you'll have to pay your deductable but your premium won't be raised. My Dad hit three deers last year, i should know!
