buying car to sell, advice please

Hello,

I have an opportunity to buy an 09 ralliart for a low price. It has less than 10,000 miles on it, and according to KBB, I'll still make a small profit even if I trade it in.

But my question to you guys is, do you guys think the ralliart is an easy car to sell? Is there a big market for it like the WRX has? And would you try to buy an sell it, if you had the chance?

I sell cars.... word to the wise, do not go by KBB or any other book. Look at what others are actually asking/getting.

Not too sure on the market for a ralliart... probably decent.. it's just a tuned down EVO with an EVO IX 4WD system and LSD rear diff. 0-60 in around 5 to 5.5 secs with a dual clutch transmission from my understanding. The DCT may kill the market for purists.

This is so true, I have bought and repaired multiple cars to resell them and I never believe KBB or any of that crap. I don't care what anyone, or any book of numbers says. A car is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it, that is fact. So if you really want to get an idea of what you can get for it when you resell it, search autotrader etc. and see what people are actually selling them for.

Agree WRX fans are pretty hard core but I think the market for these things is pretty small, they only appeal to a very specific buyer.

I hope you're kidding because there is a huge following for WRX and STi models. The market will vary for Subarus depending on location, so they may not be popular where you are, but they certainly are here in CO.

Guess I was thinking more of the STi as having a very limited appeal, but I still wouldn't call a WRX a highly sought after car. And by that I mean there are a lot of potential buyers, it appeals to a pretty specific guy.
