Does anyone miss their E46?
Post a pic of your E46 and if you miss it or not now that you have moved on.

Had a '02 325i until Aug 21. Faithful car that served me very well for 10 years.
That said, it is not even close to being missed, sorry. New one blows it out of the water at every level (except gas mileage with aggressive driving, but honestly, if I gave a crap about that, I would not not have bought a bimmer in the first place).

I enjoyed my E46 very much. However, my E90 is quicker, more comfortable, has a better sound system and, with the fold-down rear seat, is more practical. Plus, I like the LMB/saddle leather combination much better than the TiAg/black leatherette.

I always wanted an E46 but jumped above it and purchased an E90. Recently purchased an E30 for that classic feel but am now wanting an E36...lol

I had a 2003 325i 5-speed and 2003 Z4 2.5i:
![]() I sold both to buy the M Coupe, and I really wish I'd kept the 325i and financed the Z4MC. I cruise Autotrader looking for one all the time, but nowadays most are trashed... |

I miss my e46 somtimes, just because it was a totally different driving experience compared to the X5. However, life happens, and with 2 kids and other gear to haul, it was impractical.

I'm not missing my e46 (320i 2.2 L6), just because I still have one, my first car! More than 371.000km (230.520 miles) since 2002 and it's like the first day

I've driven (but never owned) a few E46's. Always felt they had a very sharp, very classy look that is uniquely BMW. Still love the way they are shaped and designed to this day. Better and more unique looking than the BMW's of today for sure. Also see lots of them on the road; hope they're holding up well.

I actually miss mine quite a bit. Granted, my 135 is so much quicker, but I think I had more fun in my E46s.

![]() ![]() I have that ugly front license plate off now. ![]() Much better! I plan on driving this car until it dies. Then fix it back up and do it again. A manual swap is in this cars long term future. I think it would be cool keeping your first car forever. Personally, I think this was BMW's golden era (E38, E39, E46, Z4). I am not talking just about sizing. The size of the cars were pretty much perfect for their respective class. The balance between luxury and performance was pretty much spot on. |

Loved my E46 but can't say i miss it. My 335 and now 535 are worlds faster than my supercharged E46. Last i checked its still with the new owner out in Cali.

I had an E46 M3 Vert. I dont think I miss it much because it had so many problems when I traded it in. 90k miles and it had bad suspension, bad diff, bad power steering, broken glove box and a bunch more. The shop bill was 15K. Luckily, the dealership paid me 13.5K for it two years ago so I traded it in for a M Coupe.

![]() ![]() I don't miss either my E36 or my E46. Both were AMAZING cars and awesome projects with which I learned tremendously and had ridiculous fun. But after a few years I like to try something new. I love my E92 now ![]() |
