Dumb Question: Sunroof wont tilt?

Hey E9XPost,
I have a really obvious and dumb question that i cannot seem to answer using my manuals (i looked for quite a while

)

Anyways, i cannot get my sunroof to do this:
NOT MY PHOTO

Ive tried pushing the button forward when it is completely shut, and nothing happens at all. Is this a software/firmware thing or.....?

Have you tired just pushing the button for like 3 seconds once it is closed, not forward or backward.. just pushing the button?

Yup

I only have sports-package on my car, is that a possible reason?

EDIT: When you say pushing, what direction do you mean? Towards the front (hood) of the car?

Push the button in. Put your finger on it and push straight up, like you're pushing it into the roof. That'll make it tilt.

Is this for real?!?! You have 1600 posts and don't know how to tilt your sunroof?? I think I've just been had lol.

press the button toward the sky... so, in the vertical (up) direction.

Give the poor guy a break. He just purchased his first BIMMER that has a sunroof. The first 1599 posts in his account was ported from the Fiat forum he once belonged to. Most of the questions relate to taking the car out of Park.

By the way, the car in the pic is actually the same car I have, but with a black window trim.

Hahaha no this is for real

I almost never use the sunroof, so now that its nice outside (not 100*F) ive been using it, and i wasnt sure how to do that.

It wasnt Fiat, it was a Schwinn forum. Gosh....
