BMW Assist Settlement

Just got my mail today and saw a check for $50.00 as settlement for the BMW Assist class action litigation. Any other Ca members get their checks today?

Here's a link if anyone is interested:

wow, nice, so something actually came about from this settlement.

I opted for the 6 month BMW Assist extension. I called the attorneys for this to see when the extension would kick in, and their best guess was October 1. However, I called Assist last week, and they said my account was still inactive (my initial 4 years was already up) so I'm wondering when my 6 month extension will start.

What's kind of annoying is that Assist said that even if I get my account reactivated that my car's control unit needs to be reprogrammed by the dealer for my account to work. I hope that's not going to be pricey.

Never heard of this one! Too bad, we could almost go out to dinner for that. Wonder how much the lawyers got?

Seriously, do I really care if they recorded my call? What kind of emergency assistance service WOULDN'T do that, anyway? Can you imagine being in serious trouble and having to wait through "Please be aware that we may record your call...yada, yada, yada...". C'mon, people, I'm dying here!

This is a good example of class action suits that don't make sense except for the lawyers.

Wat?? I never got a notice.
I've had BMW ASSIST since 2006.
Know what, now that I know the frivolity behind the class action suit, I am not interested.
Ridiculous.
