Is Alpine White a nice looking color?
Ok, here's the deal. I'm in the military currently in baghdad. I'm stationed in Germany and I just ordered a 2008 335i Sedan. I have put in my order for alpine white and beige leather. I've never seen what it looked like in person. I would like to have someones opinion on it to make sure im making the right descion.

Hey John John...first of all, I'd like to than you for the sacrifice you are making in the name of democracy...You are what this country was built upon...
Secondly, I have an AW convertible, but with the top up, it looks quite a bit like the coupe. I love the color. It's amazing how clean it keeps looking, even when you KNOW it's dirty. As for the interior, I think the darker brown leather (Terra?) would look classier and have a better contrast, but I don't think you can go wrong with the beige either.

BMW's alpine white is a very rich color.I have it and absolutely love it.It shows the lines and contours of the car very well.Do a search and youll find plenty of awesome pictures.

Thats a very classy color combo. What interior trim did you pick with that? You can find a lot of pictures of exterior and interiors here: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=132 and here http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=352

I'm a little biased but I love the look of my AW. I have black leather with gray poplar and I think it's a good combination. I think AW looks better on a sedan than it does on a coupe especially if you get the black lines.
I'm sure you'll like whatever combination you get, it's hard to go wrong. |

I had white cars before...
White looks awesome when it's new, but could get Yellowish when it gets old. It's okay if you lease, but not recommended if you buy. Quote:

I went with Alpine white and black leather interior with brushed alum trim...sorta masculine set up ..without the "look at me" of the red interior. Call me bland. I have had several red cars before...it was time to get another white one. I have owned 35 cars.

Although I have owned 4 cars and I am fairly young. So maybe It isn't that big of a deal like I am thinking. But to the Op. I have an AW car. I love the color. Also the fact that even after 3 weeks of no washing it still looks pretty clean helps. Truthfully my next vehicle will be White unless I can find a good color. If I get a BMW it is between AW and the Grey.

Well I dunno, I find Alpine White to be NON-Offensive, the Little 16 year old girls seem to love it...
But over all, it's lifeless, boring and flat. FWIW In a Sedan the AW/Tan might look OK but I cannot think of a more vanilla combination... Just Yawn and fall asleep. If I were to do it again, I can think of just about any combination I'd rather have, especially TiAG, Montego, Graphite, or especially Arctic Metallic... Add a little life to your ride, don't get sucked into boring and safe... As much as I do not care for the White, I love the Coral Red leather, just a nice classic finish that ads life to an otherwise dull exterior. the White just lays there, lifeless, flat, BLAH.... Gimmie something with some depth any day... BUT, The Alpine white is dead easy to keep looking clean, from a distance you don't even notice that I haven't washed the car in three weeks...

Personally, I think Dark blue + the tan would be better, but thats because I'm not huge on white cars.
In the end, we can only tell you what we like, the rest is up to you

First off, welcome! And I echo the thanks for your service to us.
I am driving my second AW E90 and I love it. You can look at mine using the link to my garage, or as others have suggested, check out the official AW thread in the photo section. Tons of great shots in there!
