so my car finally reached 1250 miles and I got to open her up. boy was I excited. but I wasn't too happy with WOT feel. It felt slower than steptronic 325i(5000 miles) I previously test-drove. I know butt-dyno isn't very accurate.

any thoughts? would it get loosen up more and get better after 3000 miles?

btw, I got killed by stock Audi S4(the previous gen, with twin turbo).

That shows that there is not much of a difference between 325i and 330i

It will get better with more miles

It is notably faster to get going after break-in. It feels like a some sort of limiter have got removed.

puck, WOT stands for wide-open-throttle. its when you are pressing on the gas pedal 100%(full acceleration).

I knew 325ers would comment on this.

OK, I'm tempted.
Simply put, the 325 is damn fast, the 330 is damn faster!!! No question, no argument from me.

Now to your initial post, like the others said, after a few more miles, maybe like double what you have now, your engine should open up further and really go.

Have you taken the car on mountain climbs and twisty cross country roads to really give it a decent run? If anything it's a LOT of fun and it shows off another wonderful aspect of its character and characteristics.

Hope its not too much longer for you till it opens up fully, but I would have thought that the cars performance would still, even at this early stage be very impressive.

All the best.

i gotcha. yeah ive noticed a differance. the first time i tried that was about 1700 maybe and it seems like there was a delay from when i floored it to when i felt it. the last tiem i did it was around 2050-2100 and it was a lot quicker...

Try it out with the step in DS mode. Really fun and quick. And that's my 325i. 330i with more power should be even better.

Ya have to learn what cars not to mess with. Of course the S4 is faster. That doesn't mean the 330i step is slow.
