Buying used car that has paid for that feature...does it transfer? He mentioned fee of $200 a year....how can I subscribe as new owner? Is it something most of you recommend? Thanks

I still have it under the original 4 year warranty, but I won't be renewing it after it expires. $200 a year is ridiculous for something that would be nice but I don't deem necessary. If you live in a place where you frequently encounter dangerous driving situations it might be a good idea God forbid anything happens but I won't pay $200 a year after it expires.

It is OnStar for BMW. Mostly useful for the safe and sound feature of automatically notifying emergency services if your airbag deploys and you don't answer or opening the doors if you get locked out. Additional services such and nav and concierge are extra, above the $200. If you have a cell phone, you don't need it. It does transfer. There is an 800 number you can call.
