Wink Why Does My Car Drink So much Diesel, hmmm???

[FONT="Times New Roman"]
Quite strange my car was really, thirsty when i first got her, but now shes done around 6000 miles and the consumption has very slightly improved, my average Mpg, is around 19 - 23 (motorways rarely, but even their it drinks) i could understand if i had a heavy foot but when i try to conserve it still seems to just vanish, is that common or just me,, its a Saloon, very rarely us AC, changed the Run Flats for a Set of Smoke Chrome "19" M5 wheels, which have been curbed to hell by my Old Man... but the thing is even though it costs me an arm and a leg, i love it

Have you reset the MPG gauge at all since you've owned it? How many miles do you get per tank?

Garage List
Do you have it set for Imperial or US gallons? This alone would increase your fuel economy by 25% for comparison to other UK drivers.

calculate it yourself.. i find the computer is out. I get 35mpg so far average according to trip computer. Mine is an auto and I do mixed driving with mostly M-way but some hard driving too.

I get around 430miles from a tank of fuel.. but I reckon I can do better if I didn't enjoy driving it and accelerating :-)

Better yet, use L/100km. No ambiguity there. Do you get to choose which unit to use in Euro spec-ed cars? I know in Canada, at least for the MY2006 version, you can only get the UK gallon and not the US gallon since we are in a metric country.
