modding a leased 335i coupe??

What's the cons of modding a leased car? The way I see it, as long as no updated turbo's and intercoolers or mods that can't be reversed(no clutches and lsd's that are too much trouble to reverse), can't we go all out and just sell the parts when the lease is up? seems like people on the forum freak out when modding a leased car. Opinions please.

Been talked about before. Search and you will see threads that have numerous post and go into detail about this subject.

To answer your question. Seems you already have it settled. For most simple mods arent a big deal. You can take em off or leave em on when you turn the car in.

If you take them off you get to resell on here and get a good amount for an item you got to use. Works out pretty well.

For me, I might mod later not sure. Summer is almost over and I want a 335i Coupe. So maybe I will hold off for 6-8 months and just trade the car in.

my friend put a stage III turbo on his Audi A4. Then took it off and gave it back at lease end. I feel bad for the poor sucker that bought that car after he had it.

He also had intake, exhaust, race clutch, short shift, wheels/tires, coil-overs, blow-off valve, chip.

Just dont sell the car to a friend or relative.

As long as you don't do anything too radical or (in the opinion of you dealer) in poor taste, you will be fine. Reversible mods preferred.
