My biggest regret on my 335i E93

So, I went with a well optioned E93 that I ordered specifically for me. My one single regret was going with Sirius radio. Here are my reasons:

1.) I mainly bought it because of Howard Stern's morning show, but everytime I listen to the show it is a tape from 2006, 1999, 2003...whatever...never seems to be live/current. What a waste.
2.) The stations are fine I do like 1st Wave, Alt Nation, ESPN News, and the NFL station but I find myself listening to my iPod more than anything else.
3.) And my biggest issue: Placement of the fin on the trunk is ugly. I'm looking at rear spoilers and everytime I visualize a lip on the trunk I think of that dumb looking fin in my way. I'm guessing there is no way to remove the shark fin at this point so it is a real downer if I decide not to renew my Sirius contract after year one.

Oh well, so that is my regret about my order. Other than this, and it is minor, I absolutely love this car. :rocks:

I, on the other hand, love the built in Sirius and while I think the car looks better without the fin on the trunk it isn't that big of a deal.

Not having Sirius is a mistake... Stern takes vacation during the summer just like the rest of us. When fall rolls around he will be back in full effect. Uncensored Stern is the best show anywhere!

I opted for the sat radio delete specifically because I didn't like the fin.

Howard is off 10 weeks per year. They've been gone a LOT recently. Next week will be all new again. Bubba's show in the afternoons (and Friday mornings) can be entertaining also, give him a try. You can also listen to Sirius on your computer all day with a subscription. I switch over to my computer when I get to work in the mornings.

Bottom line is that I love Sirius and find myself hardly using my iPod. To each their own!

I think BMW assist requires the fin. Even if you don't have sirius you'll find it in your trunk. But, it looks good in coupe though, it's on top of it

How does it look like exactly. Do you have any picture ?

We do not have SIRIUS in Europe and the only Radio/Navigation antenna we have on the trunk is the "shark wing". Does the Sirius fin looks different?

No it doesn't. I have BMW assist and nav on my e93. I ordered sat delete and have no fin. I have Sirius on my 330 and cancelled it after the free year. I have a back road commute to work with lots of overhanging trees. The Sirius reception was terrible - eery time I drove under a tree, the signal cut out.

Sirius/ fin

I have the sirius (never list to stern) but have sirius, nav, HD radio and the fin doesn't bug me. However the silver 335i shown here in the garage with the top down, I WISH I had chosen silver. SOOOO much easier to maintain .. but .. the Monaco is stunning when clean .. )

Also noted, this silver 335i convertible has NO fin on the trunk either.

Thanks

I picked up the car in Munich via Euro delivery. The plate on the car in that picture is my temporary German plate. It is a U.S. spec car.

I really like the look of the E93. I think it might look better than the coupe with the top up. Possible that it is because I see so few of them.
