Black/coral/saddle with light poplar wood?
Sorry for the post, but I really tried the search to find it, but all I got was light poplar with cream an other colors. I am thinking of ordering my 335 with Montego on Saddle with light poplar (so a pic of that specific color combo would be great).

I did some more searching and found this:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...k+light+poplar I think I have my decision made... looks great, although I do love black wood, but I think with saddle the light poplar looks better. |

I saw, and it does look good, but personally I'd rather have wood. Is there any way to order jade interior on a US car? My dream color combo would be a Montego on Jade with black wood.

I dont have montego but I have Monaco blue with light poplar. I love the combo and think it looks better in person than the pics of the sapphire black you found. I can post pics if you want but will have to do it later today.

I think saddle would look better with the darker woods and aluminum. Imho, trims are about contrast. I have a black interior with contrasting light poplar wood and I think it works well.
Go with what you like, colors/trims are a personal expression.

I agree with you, but because the dash is all black with saddle interior, the light poplar trim is just as contrasting as it is with your black interior.

that is true...there is a pic of saddle/poplar somewhere here, I've seen it. It works well I though but the more classic choice is the burl.

Saddle with Light poplar
IMHO...I think the light poplar looks best with saddle. Has some of the same color tones in it and brings it all together I think. These are pics of my car. (I know others also like the grey poplar and that looks nice too with saddle.)

God...there's something I hate about that search smiley...and the repost smiley...
Anyways, back on topic, I would personally go with the light poplar judging from the given pics. Oh, and the BMW "build your own BMW" feature is completely useless when it comes to getting an idea of what the car looks like imo. Real pics are the way to go - even better would be to head down to a bunch o' local dealers to see if they have any cars with that combo (which they usually don't...at least in my area).

Here's the alternative. Grey Poplar with the Saddle Brown... Though with the Grey Poplar I'd have to say Red, Black or Grey leather become the only options... The Walnut and Light poplar look nice though with the brown, but IMO I'd avoid the aluminum, too typical, too boring.
