Liquor/Beer Thread

Searched didn't see any past thread of the sort...why not have a thread about beer and liquor in general? Post up names (or companies) you enjoyed, or are currently having, and share with the community. Reviews, taste, etc; can be posted in this thread. Feel free to take personal pictures, or just regard to the www.beeradvocate.com site and contradiction their reviews, or another site; anything your liver pleases.

Currently having:
- Wild Turkey 101

I have been drinking Jack Daniels for a while now, and to be honest the added % WT101 has, WT seems to have a smoother bite. Other whiskeys/bourbons I have tried will have to post up later, mind is going in another direction

mostly beer/wine here.

red wine: ecco domani (got a bottle open as i type this), st jean, yellowtail
beer: stella, hoe garden, newcastle. the american regulars are ok, sometimes a little too "mealy" for my taste

yeah i only drink cheap stuff, though i have a bottle of louis and lafite for bragging rights

Dry wine or semi sweet? Not familiar with those names besides yellowtail (which is on the same level as Barefoot mainly). Right now I have Franzia Delicious Red (classy, I know). But the Linganore Vineyards wines, and St Michaels Winery I enjoy. I'm not big on dry wines. Furthest sweet wines I would go for would be Moscato (original, red, pink). Furthest dry....not sure. I have tasted some dry Black Box wine that I couldn't even drink if I tried to chug it. Hoeegarden is not cheap, I love Belgian style ales. You should try the Delirium Tremens. It's considered a "strong" belgian ale (8.5%) but easy on taste. They are pretty pricey though, its better to get a full size rather than a pack, usually cheaper. Dogfish Head 120 minute IPA is still the only 12 fl oz bottle I would buy for $15. At 18% a beer, it is the smoothest thing I have ever tasted.

Have you tried Affligem Blond? I seem to enjoy the blond more than the Dubbel and Tripel from them...

I usually go with new castle as my cheap/everyday beer. Occasional blue moon/shocktop with food. I do also love some wood chuck when nobody's around to judge me

Whiskey: Jameson or Bushmills. I drink bourbon but it has to be something good, Blantons, 1492, Makers...
Wine: Honig if I want something nice, Red Rock, Toasted Head, Ghost Pines for something cheaper
Beer: The darker the better. Guinness is my go-to at a bar but I'll drink anything that isn't bud light.

CROWN FTW!! But occasionally some 12 or 15 Macallan. Corona or blue moon for beer. Although blue moon in bottle sucks.

Sam Adams Latitude 48 IPA is my current fav beer.

Yellow Tail merlot or cab/merlot for any night drinking wine.

Thinking about trying a good single malt, but I'm worried I'll either like it too much and be stuck with another expensive habit or not like it and be disappointed that reality didn't match expectations.

Best freakin beer ever. First time I ever I got buzzed by just drinking one bottle. Two and I was drunk. And I can easily have 7-8 crown shots. Costco carries it too now!! Awesome!!

Currently having this:

For $7.49 can't really complain. Not a strong bite and is sort of smooth going down

I'm normally only a whiskey drinker.... I cant really stand any type of beer, was at a bar 2 weeks ago and noticed this pretty cool looking tap. Started chatting up the hb 9 bartender and she let me have a small glass of it to try, pretty much fell in love 3 glasses later one top of the 3 other drinks I had I was feeling pretty dam good (Luckily I wasn't driving that day) lol Next day called around 2 counties trying to locate a case of this. Got the last one around that anyone had, only beer I've ever tried that I actually liked...
