HOT temps- A/C vibrations?

I live in Dallas, TX and temp have reached upper 90s to lower 100s. I have an E90 325i with roughly 13k miles with one oil change done at 7500 (out of pocket). At idle with the A/C on, the car is creating an vibrations. I turn off the A/C and the vibration lessens. It doesn't matter if the car is in neutral or drive or with recirculation on or off. This is an near-luxury sedan, not an econo car so I am irritated. Anybody else have this problem?

Same thing for me with 07 E91 328xi. I took it in once but it was somewhat hard to reproduce on command. They drove it around on a hot day and the SA said it was there and typical. Not sure if he was hearing vibration or just fan noise. If you get any further insight with your dealers, I'll be interested.

Not hot enough in Munich to test these things? A little 102 degree heat may bring out some issues.

most cars will vibrate as the power get sucked by the compressor. as long as your teeth arent chattering from the vibrations, it should be ok.

I will be taking the E91 in tomorrow, I let you know the outcome. I also have the rear rattle which may be related to the seat belt recall on the e90's

in less hot condition lower to middle 90s, the AC runs more smoothly. so the hot temps do cause the engine to vibrate some. however, my family's IS250 and ES330 Lexus cars - no vibrations with hot temps- maybe they compensate by upping the engine rpm slightly at idle. why doesn't BMW do that?

Yesterday, I received a call from the SA and he mentioned that the problem was recreated. I was told that a service bulletin allowed for an increase in the idle for this issue. The AC pulley, tension pulley and belts were are fine. I will verify today when I pick up the car

I haven't noticed that but....

Today it was around 86F. I usually turn off the ac before shutting the motor down, but didn't on one occassion. When I restarted the motor, I felt warm air blowing and no ac. It seemed to take I dunno 30 secs for the compressor to kick-in, the way it would if you pressed the button at idle.

Ok I received the E91 back yesterday and there was not a service bulletin, they called BWM technical services(?). It seems that they have heard of this issues and they BMW TS, suggested to increase the idle when the AC is on. Now while driving home, I did not notice the vibration as much. I post a reply when I drive the car for the entire day.

BTW the 30 sec delay is normal fo the compressor to kick in, iI was told (by SA) it some type of safety feature for the compressor.

How's the vibration going with the idle increased?

i haven't gone to get it serviced. the temps are now in the mid to lower 90s and the car is once again smooth with AC. i guess hot weather is the reason for the vibration. next service apt i will ask them about it
