So let me get this straight.....your windows are tinted too dark, which is illegal.......your front license plate isn't mounted, also a violation....... Yeah, I know what you mean, what was that police officer thinking???

Not trying to flame, but grow up and take some responsibility for your actions. If I speed, which I do from time to time, I know that if I get pulled over or get a ticket, it is my fault. Don't blame the Police officer, blame yourself.

having rear tinted windows isnt illegal, so how did he know your fronts are tinted? did he ask you to roll them up?

Honestly, the reason why cops pull people over for minor offenses is to look for bigger things. A large amount of drug busts are results of stops for minor traffic violations. While I was stationed at FT Riley KS, the State police stopped a guy because he was speeding and found a shit load of drugs in the car, resulting in one of the largest drug busts in the state. How many times have we heard of this in the past? I am not saying that some cops don't do it just to be pricks, because I am sure there are a handful, just don't label all cops, as there are plenty out there that are great people!

In SoCal....no front plate is a primary violation. He did not need to see you tints.

I was pulled over 3x for no front plates...and got 5 tickets for them. Just get them fixed. Its a money maker for the city. Think of it as tax...some pay more to smoke, others to have their BMW how they want it to look.

Sux...but it happens all over SoCal.

Also, like I said, I am not trying to flame at all. I understand your frustration. Just remember there are a lot of good police officers out there. While in Germany I was stopped by the Polizei for going 120KPH in a 50KPH zone (going down hill, entering a town) and the fine was 400 euro and I lost my license for 2 months!!! I was soo pissed, but I was in a hurry and I knew it was my fault. I felt like I got kicked in the balls that day!!!

They will never change. They pull you over when they got nothing to do. That's what they do. I just got pulled over for licence plate yesterday. All I can do is to pay the fine. Some police are trying to be smarta$$ for traffic rules..

Frogman did this....I have a similar set up, but not the commercial one posted here. I had a custom fabricated one...just some pieces bent into position. Works like a charm. For meets etc...just remove 2 screws underneath...takes like 3 min and I am all nice and clean. When ready to leave...3 min and its back on...ready to roll.
