Would you buy a CTSV?

Coupe or sedan would you own one?

I think for the low $40k range for a used one that it's a lot of car for the price.

You can get an 08 M3 and throw a charger on it but thatll run mid $40k and not have a warranty for that price.

Other than if you would own a CTSV or not what do you all think is the best car you can get for $38-42k range wether it be used or new.

I'd buy one all day, if it was a wagon. I'd consider the sedan, but would not buy a coupe. I think it's hideous.

I'd buy one before a used M3. Hell, I,d buy one before a used E60 M5.

Great cars and damn near bulletproof.

Sedan then coupe for me. The wagon is cool but I'm not a fan of wagons.

I've never like the styling of the back of the sedan and the coupe looks hideous to me. The wagon proportions are excellent and the tail lights look great.

Whats that equal converted to US dollars though. In japan Im sure one is like 1billion yen lol I dont know

I may have my boat sold is the thing and if I do I can sell my 335i and get a $40k car paid off and Im thinking a CTSV is the best bang for the back because they drop in value fast and I can get a newer one for $40k yet still under GMs 7/100,000 power train warranty

Cars are comparatively cheap in the US compared to most of the rest of the world, even when accounting for exchange rates. A 135i is something like $75k (in US dollars) in Australia.

In no way am I saying I dont like my BMW by the way before anyone comes in here and tries to jack this thread

But look at this interior and you can get several body kits for them that make them look even better. Look at how many miles is left til 100,000 on these cars
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2009-...item2c6ded0d8d

This one is over $40k but I bet with this economy you can pick this up for $48 if not less

No, I mean the ctsv sedan starts at US$ 206.777,-- incl. VAT
(€ 158.400,--)
Never mind the income tax (about 50%), VAT (21%), gas prices (about Us$8,64/gallon) etc.
Hell isn't some hot place with fire and demons, its a little country situated along the north sea in western europe filled with tulips and windmills....

Fun car, I've driven a few. Very comfortable highway cruiser with plenty of power and easy to mod. Nice and smooth even at 140 mph. Issue for me personally is its just too heavy to handle well on curvy roads. Close to 4300 lbs.

The upcoming ats-v is something I'll have my eye on however. Hopefully 3600 lbs and a 420+ hp twin turbo 3.6 v6 with a factory lsd.

Oh and guidok........ Damn!

Ever think of relocating? Lol

Makes me thankful for relatively cheap gas and being able to buy such cars for almost 1/4 the price. It also makes "only" 30% income tax look appealing!

Really 3600lbs? Any plants for a atsv coupe? If so probably not anytime soon huh

Id be all over that TT 3.6 I bet it could hit 500rwhp with the same mods as the 335i takes to reach 450rwhp

Anyone take an ISF over a CTSV?

Sedan supposedly to be out by late this year, coupe, which I'm also holding out for, I'd guess a year later.

I'm biased in the $38-42k range so my vote doesn't count, but I'd say a new mulletmobile (Coyote) w/ Track Pack and Recaros, you'd even have some money left over (if you don't suck at negotiating, because you can talk just about any dealer down close to invoice on the GTs) to get some FRPP stuff installed on delivery, which would be honored by the warranty at your dealer. I'm partial to buying new instead of used on cars that tempt the driver to flog them.

But I would definitely rock the CTS-V wagon or even the sedan. The coupe, not so much, but I wouldn't turn it down if it was my only option.

+1. I actually think the wagon looks cool. The other 2, wouldn't touch them with a 10 ft pole. I hate the 3/4 view on those things, especially the coupe.

I prefer the look of an M3 all day long but the CTSV does appeal to me for some reason. But for the price the CTSV is cheap to mod to get 550rwhp
