Arrow Cost Camparision between BMW and Lexus IS-f?

The first 4 years of maintenance would all depend on how much you drive in
4 years.
Heres estimates based on all maintenance at a Lexus dealer.
Year 1 = $187
Year 2 = $363
Year 3 = $ 657
Year 4 = $ 1480

What BMW does is add the cost of ownership to the price of the vehicle. So
its not free to you. You already paid for it.
By the way, tires are not included in free maintenance for even BMW so I
didnt include the cost of tire changes for Lexus.

For BMW 2007 328i coupe = Heres the cost of ownership
Year 1 = $0
Year 2 = $0
Year 3 = $840
Year 4 = $550

And another comparision:

Heres another comparison.
Owning a BMW for 5 years on average will cost you more than owning a Lexus.
I compared using base IS350 and base 335i sedan.

BMW 335i Sedan
Total Cost to Own $67,080
5 Year Average for California

2007 IS350 6 speed auto
Total Cost to Own $61,758
5 Year Average for California

Can you imagine how much it would be for owning the Lexus IS-F, by reading all the 411 on the vehicle, it's an amazing vehicle , can't wait for the comparision between this vehicle and the new M3. It will be close. The cost of ownership will be much higher on the IS-F for 5 years. I got this info from a friend who is an Manager for Toyota, and just some info to pass on..

Look at 5-7 years and you will see the benefit of owning a Lexus over a BMW. BMW's have free maintenance for the first few years but once it expires the cost for "keep up" is much more than any other automobile. But they are the best car to lease, thats for sure.

That's why majority of the BMW owners lease instead of owning one. Cause the cost factor after four years is ridiculous, just like any other imported high performance vehicle.

I don't understand where you got those numbers from? Why is there $0 for the first 2 years of ownership of the BMW? Something doesn't jive with your report.

Like I mentioned in the very beginingit depends on how much you drive, but remember 4 years/50,000 mile, no cost for maintanance. By the 3 year most owner are beyond the 50,000 miles, then of course you have to pay for maintanance like tune up/ oil change/brakes ect....

Yep, the majority of owners are leasing these cars, so that can't afford to be over 50000 miles...
