WTD: Damaged E90 Facelift Headlights
Hi everyone.
I know it is am odd asking, but I am looking for e90 facelift headlights like the ones pictured. Don't have to be angel eyes, but would be useful. I heard these lights are not perma sealed. Just getting a better feel for the e90 crew as many are asking for led retrofits. If you see or hear of any", please let me know! I will take them with broken lens etc. do not have to be in good condition at all. HUGE THANKS! |

I have a pair of these for sale, the o/s one has a small (approx 1inch long) crack in the lens. The n/s one is in perfect condition.
I'm after £225 posted for the pair if your interested? They are lci halogens as in your picture with angel eyes. |

I have a left hand drive one in very good condition if you are interested. Got it off ebay by mistake!!
Having said that, they are all perma sealed, the LCI ones. it 'only' took me around 9 hours to open, clean and reseal mine..... |

Have you ever considered cutting them open? I fear baking them lol.
Everything I've read suggests that all E9X lights are permanent seals.

The cleanest way is to cut the black plastic surrounding the lens, then using a heatgun and a flathead, pry the lens off gently.

just to get a better idea....
I cut the top piece which is visible with the hood open as a whole piece and stuck it with silicone once i closed and sealed everything back. It is very important to clean/scrape off all the perma seal prior to sealing it back as it will not fit snugly otherwise. This is what i used to reseal it: http://www.wurth.co.uk/product/bondandseal |

Have you had any issues with it fogging up? I really want to do my headlights more and more every day I see how ugly they look stock lol. And honestly, do you think theres a way without cutting off that plastic piece? Just thinking in case of selling the car. Don't want it noticeably different.

to be honest I couldn't find any other way.... it was very hard getting them apart the way I did it.... let alone...
with regards to fogging, I have no issues up to now... however it has only been a month. having said that I am very confident that I won't have any issues as the glue I used is super strong and I made sure that it is all sealed up. Ian |
