Usually the pre-lci came more loaded but not in all cases. Check what options are included and packages.

Both have sport pack and iDrive. The '08 has the factory secondary oil cooler and nicer looking wheels. I can't tell about premium or cold weather packages from dealers' photos.

I've always heard the 09+ have much improved iDrive.

Well im going to be replacing the rims regardless and prob gona get new tires too. So that dosent bother me. As for the rest of the car idk. The 2010 is at a bmw dealership vrs the 08 is at an audi dealership. So i would prob lean more towards the 2010.

I suppose they both have premium because they have wood trim. The improved iDrive is definitely better so +1 for 2010...guess it all comes down to the color. Alpine White or Space Grey. Don't worry about the wheels if you're going to change them anyways.

i like both colors regardless thats why im torn. I think im going to get the 2010 only because of the warranty from bmw and well its newer. Also im going to get rid of the wood trim as well. prob gona get it wrapped carbon fiber. Hydro dipping For the win.

Every E9x comes from the factory with wood unless spec'd differently. Doesn't mean it has premium pkg

I didn't know that, I just saw it on car and drivers packages list for our cars. It also said garage openers are part of premium but I can't see in the pictures. I thought aluminum trim would be none premium. My mistake

One trick to tell if it has the premium pkg or not - check the rearview mirror, if there's a digital compass it means the car has the premium pkg. BMW didn't offer the E9x with auto-dimming mirrors unless you ordered the premium pkg..the compass indicates the car has autodimming mirrors and thus premium

Since the 2010 is more well equipped than the 08 and are about the same mileage, I'd say you should go for the 2010 too.

08' has the n54 motor which has much more potential to mod than the n55 motor found in 2010 and up. If your not worried about power I'd go for the 2010.

Actually not true.

The N54 is in all 2010 335's. The 2011's+ got the N55.

If you're going to mod, an oil cooler should be the first thing you do!

Also, you can look for the folding side view mirror button.

Because heat kills oil. Turbos add loads of heat to oil. Bad lubrication kills turbos. A vicious cycle.
