There is a show called How It's Made: Dream Cars that is on the Science Channel. They haven't yet done a BMW episode, but the show is just 30 minutes per episode and it's interesting. I think it comes on on Thursdays.

There is another similar show, Ultimate Factories, and they had an episode where they built an E85 Z4.

BTW, I forgot to mention it. There's some network called Velocity. They have some nice shows from time to time also.

Its a few years old, but you can find it on Hulu and other places online.
