3) will I be a total loser with a bone-stock 335 coupe??

take a deep breathe!!

You need a helmet and $103. And no you wont be a loser but yes you will have a great time.

Hell there was a dude in an a brand new A8L running in the 80mph range there. He was running the hell out of his car and having a great time doing it!

honestly not sure if they have loaners at MIR...you might want to contact them. Hopefully someone here can loan you one that fits you.

If you do buy one, make sure its a Snell SA2005 rated helmet.

When did MIR start making you wear helmets? Only certain cars with certain HP rating are required...I've gone there plenty of times in the past without having to wear one...

Depends on when i get my car back, i'm down to run my car...

When we were there any car running under a 14 required a helmet, they were lose on what kind of helmet though. However if he is going to invest the money for a helmet it would make sense for him to get the proper one for future use at other tracks.

tech inspection was pretty much non-existent too by the way

I ran last time w/ a motorcycle helmet, they didnt check it.

Since you already have a helmet I think you have to come out and run your car......

You need to pay in advance to the guy who is renting the track w/ out of pocket money. There will be several Z06's and the like there so the more the merrier. Follow the link above to find info on payment. Its a great price for the amount of track use you will have, trust me you'll have more opportunities to run than you will want.

Hope you all can make it out! Weather should be good I hope!
