Arrow Pagani Huayra - Bueller... Bueller?

So I have a really bad sinus infection so I called out of work today only to have my alarm go off at 6:30AM because of a 45k service appointment for the S4 that I had completely forgotten about. They said it would only be a couple of hours and it's in a row of high-end dealerships so I figured I would troll the lots while I waited. My friend works at one of them and had tipped me off that the Pagani Huayra press car was in the area. She hooked me up with a contact at Aston Martin who brought me to a back bay to see this masterpiece of automotive achievement. Without further adieu...

that thing is effing bonkers! love... thanks!

some parts of the interior remind me of depictions from the 50's of what the future would look like.

I've never been a fan of CF as a solid body "color", but damn that car looks amazing. Those switches are a work of art themselves. And that engine bay

My wife says the interior looks like a 50s diner. Around the steering wheel looks more steampunk than retro but it screams of quality in the flesh. It's been my dream to see a Pagani in person but to have the access I had yesterday was just unbelievable.

It's neat art-deco and all, but those mirrors are just hideous. For the money that thing costs, you'd think they would of developed a rear camera system with video screens in more conventional looking rear view mirror pods on the doors that the A-pillar.

And the leather strap to hold the hood down? (Don't get that one either) There's a real mechanical latch somewhere, isn't there? (assuming the red lever near it is the latch)

Beautiful car. Thanks for sharing!

I was fortunate enough to get some up-close time with the Pagani Huayra that rolled through LA/BH this past summer. It had the same red interior. And I loved it. And that gold AMG engine! I actually really like the side mirrors that look like petals/leaves and all of the nuances of the car. Definitely a work of art as well as a performer! Definite engineering masterpiece.

I wonder how bad they shake. I know it CF, but I just can't see how they would not get blurred at speed.

This was at Miller Motorcars. Got the invite to the unveiling but I couldn't make it since I was out of state.

The mirrors didn't bother me and the bonnet does "click" when you close it. I was also amazed at how stiff the bonnet was. It's a massive piece and it doesn't flex one bit.

i had to have a second look lol

there's a lot of quirky stuff on that car but that's part of it's beauty. it's not just the standard, it's a work of art.

i'm a lil jelly you got to see it in person. it's one thing to admire pictures but another to be there.

Who cares? Reminds me of the quote from Enzo Ferrari when an unhappy Feruccio Lamborghini came to complain about the lack of rear view mirrors. He said something to the effect of:

It's a Ferrari, who cares what's behind you?
