1 day performance driving school in Spartanburg, SC
Hello,
I am a new member! I just ordered a 328i today ...estimated deliver in late December. About a month ago I recieved a brochure in the mail about the BMW line and included was an offer for free 1 day performance driving school with a lease or purchase of ANY BMW. It gets better.....if I go through BMW financing a 2 nights stay at the Mariott will be included. I feel very lucky to get this offer for I was told only the M customer can take advantage of the track day. Even the dealer was surprise and to some degree did not believe me. Has anybody else recieve such an offer or have experience the track day in SC??? Here are the options I picked: -Black Sapphire Metallic -Black Leather -Premium Package -Sports Package -Steptronic with Paddle shifters -Xenon -HD Radio -Ipod Adapter -Comfort Access Can wait!!! Great to be here ...looking forward to meeting new people and learning a lot. Thanks Last edited by Flea7; 07-26-2008 at 11:12 AM.. |

Thanks for the feedback everyone.
I made a mistake with the location...it's actually in Spartanburg SC. As of now, I have the certificate of enrollment. When the car is delivered, then, I have to send in the verification with the vin# / transaction details. Here is the card that came with the letter/packet if anyone is curious. Hmmm....this sounds like something a little different than regular PCD. There aren't enough details to know for sure but this deal seems like it is for a full day of track time with no Zentrum or factory tour. You get 2 nights hotel but no meals. With PCD you get 1 night hotel but meals are included. With PCD you are only getting a couple hours of track time, at best. The rest of the day includes the factory tour (when they're not developing new models) and Zentrum plus taking delivery with a specialist.
Maybe they are offering a 2-day PCD where you get 1 full track day and then the next day is the regular PCD stuff....but with no meals included?

I call the rep. at the driving school in Spartanburg.
It's not a PCD but I would be using their car on the track for a full trackday. The 2 night stay is just for convenience and ease of scheduling people. That's good news because I don't know if with a PCD that you have to use your new vehicle but with theirs ... I'm going to "drive it like I stole it" hehehe I wouldn't want to beat up my new car on the track! I'm also in the Seattle area so it would be inconvenient to take the delivery in SC. I hope this answers some questions. |

Did you ever consider just doing PCD? It's not a full track day but it's a cool way to take delivery, if you don't mind driving it home afterwards? I'm actually picking up my 335i using PCD in three weeks.

What do you think the chances are of them letting me take the new M3 out on the track!!!!!......probably slim to none but that would be way cool! I see that you picked the montego blue. Nice choice in color. It's pretty close to the le mans blue. Have you seen this thread??? http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=86664 what a beautiful car! |
