NEW!! BMW Power Kit for July 2013 Production and ON!

Just for you guys with brand spanking new 335s and 435s..the new power kit is a 35hp bump now.

The Ultimate Driving Machine gets an exhilarating boost in performance thanks to the new M Performance Power Kit. All BMW 335i and xDrive Sedans (F30/F34) and all 435i and xDrive Coupes (F32/F33) can now be retrofitted at BMW Centers for an unprecedented level of acceleration and speed. These new M Performance Power Kits (MPPK) enable new car buyers and current owners to augment the authentic motorsport heritage that is present in all BMW vehicles.
The BMW M Performance Power Kit features engine tuning software and a new M Performance Engine Air Intake system. In addition, a replacement M Performance Engine Cover and Rocker Panel Decals provide the mark of distinction this retrofit deserves.
Power Kit Highlights/Benefits:
• Horsepower increased to 335hp (35hp gain).
• Torque is increased to 332 lb-ft (automatic transmission, 32 ft/lb gain) and 317 lb-ft (manual transmission, 17 ft/lb gain)
• Faster acceleration:
o 0.2 seconds faster than the standard 335i model from 0 mph to 60 mph.
o 0.5 seconds faster than the standard 335i model from 50 mph to 75 mph.
• More dynamic accelerator pedal calibration in Sport Mode.
• “Exhaust burble” sound during engine overrun conditions.
• Sport Display now shows increased power figures (400hp and 400 ft/lbs) to reflect increased performance.
• Adheres to rigorous BMW Group test standards.
o Vehicles retain the original emission certification.
o Vehicles maintain the original fuel efficiency ratings.
• The vehicle’s original BMW Limited Warranty is not affected.
o 4 Year / 50K miles when purchased with the new vehicle
o 2 years / unlimited miles or the balance of the new vehicle warranty, whichever is greater.

Wish they had this for my car. Should've waited.

Someone else posted that it's the same PPK. The old one was underrated so they just adjusted the numbers.

They adjusted the old PPK #'s too, my sports dial now maxes at the '335' mark...before it would peg at '320'...mind you, nothing has changed on my car.

It's all gimmicry, each car seems to have a different output...I just drive and enjoy.

Nice! I wanted this on my car when I ordered it, but it was not available. Anyone have any idea how much it will be or purchase and install? I know you have to have it done at the BMW dealership, there's no telling how much they'll try to take us for...

yeah, so when I floor it, it'll hit 335 vs. 320 or something...it's stupid.

Maybe there is more power, unsure, but I couldn't tell.

I notice BMW advertises the same performance increase numbers for all the PPKs. I doubt there is much difference between old and new outside of the change in the entertainment guages - so hokey - should have been boost and maybe coolant temp.

It appears the old PPK you have is the same as the new one. They revised their numbers so that the old PPK is now the same HP and Torque rating.

Those dyno numbers don't mean much if you didn't do a baseline test first. Too many variables.

I believe the internal BMW bulletin for the new, post 7/2013 MPPK lists the three variants for the F30, with an asterisks next to the latest version stating "35hrs only".

I'm sure there's some marketing tricks involved, but seems like the new DME allows for a shade more power.

Again, probably negligible given similar performance numbers.

Here ya go...pictures are blurry, as they're screen shots from my ipad, will try and attach the formal bulletin later. Again figure it's a combination of marketing and the new DME.
