How often does your aerolip RUB?
Any problems going over steep slopes? Driveways? Speed bumps?
Also, anyone know how much lower it is compared to stock bumper? Another thread said 1/8", but i think that's a bit conservative. Thanks! Last edited by rzm3; 10-30-2007 at 11:58 PM.. |

Not so far, not many steep areas here. You'll have to watch out for those concrete things at the end up parking spots though. Stock the bumper just barely makes it, with the aero lip. ;(

Whatever, it happens. I'm on c/o's and it'll happen on occassion. That's why it's made of poly as oppossed to C/F or that fibre-glassy stuff.

Mine never rubs, but I have to park much more carefully now. My lip with stock suspension height will hit 95% of curbs now. No big deal. Just don't park - keep driving!!!!

Aero lip with stock suspension - makes minimal difference to clearance.
Aero lip - dropped (not slammed) on KW-V3 - have to watch curbs etc but I have rubbed once on very very steep entry to underground parking. This pic shows clearance -

You have to rally be carefull of curbs. I am looking for an aftermarket PDC but have not come up with anything so far. I have a hard time judging how close the front of the car is to those parking curb things.

Think about that for a minute. I spent 212 days in a row cleaning other people's cars this year.
I do try to keep it from rubbing, actually I try hard, but I put ~30k km a year on the car and in this city it happens. I guess "a lot" was an exaggeration, but I'd say I've rubbed it at least 5 times. Nothing major, just little scrapes underneath. |

i'm assuming you guys didn't come from the honda scene where we slam our cars to look cool in highschool... this is a 4X4 compared to my Prelude and M3

I've rubbed a couple of times on steep driveways. But all the scrapes were underneath to just at the front edge and are not noticeable.
