No, thank God.

I did see an interesting piece a while back about a guy who came back to his car with a friend while a punk was keying it. They held him on the ground and wrote "I KEY CARS" on his forehead with a magic marker, then held him until the cops came. That should wash off by about 2010. Hehe. What a great two-fer without actually having to go to jail for killing the punk.

I had my car keyed a few weeks ago....half moon shaped mark just past the passenger side door before the gas door. It seems like whoever did it was new to the whole keying cars concept, because when I took it into the body shop, they said it was a key, but didnt make it past the clearcoat.
I didn't think it was to the paint, because when I was going over the mark with my finger, my fingernail didn't catch where the mark was. Still cost me $70 to get out, as they had to wet sand it a bit, polish and wax the area. The one night the car is parked outside it gets marked, go figure.

I have never had my car keyed. The only thing odd that has happened to me was someone keyed my windshield on my jetta once. It was parked in a neighborhood and there were all of these random cuts all along the windshield...it happend to two other cars parked on the streets. What is even more interesting is that the windshield got replaced under warranty, because the dealership told me the glass was defective. Go figure.

Should this poll have the option of answering no?

When I first got it I was a senior in High School, one week into going to school there was a hairline key mark on the hood of my car.

For those with an uncontrollable urge to participate in polls that don't apply to them, yes. The assumption is that if you don't vote 'yes' then you haven't had you car keyed...so total forum users minus those that said yes=those that haven't.

HOWEVER

I haven't had my car keyed so I didn't vote and I do realize that it's a pain to have to click on 'view poll results' to see the poll if you haven't voted so if I could add a 'no' I would. Sadly, I can not.

You haven't gotten your car keyed and you live in Birmingham, Alabama!!! Wow that is crazy. I always came under the impression that birmingham was not safe, but i guess i was wrong

what kind of poll is this when you can't even answer no to it. Only yes and a variant of yes LOL.
This poll is skewed.

How would you like this poll:

You Gay?
1. Yes
2. a little bit

Basically only people who are gay will answer and we have 100% gay population (no offense to gays btw).

My topaz blue 330ci took a key beating. The whole passenger side from trunk to front quarter panel. Blue is too flashy, so I decided to order a white e92.

had mine done it was really small, the person made a 4 inch mark under the door handle. The Worst thing for me was at school someone decided to rip off my EURO plate and by doing that i guess they used like a crowbar and they dented the front bumper and scratched it a little. Havent got that replaced yet because the new plate covers it so hopefully someone will back into me and i can get a new bumper ha ha.

Well, you need a control group so you have something to compare to the relative number of people that have never been keyed. So you need a "no" option. And that's where my vote would go.

Well, it just makes sense to us "no" people I guess. Good thing you got all worked up about it...
