Newb

Hello,

Just joined the site as in a month or two tops ill be hunting down a nice E92 335i.

Had my eye on a couple, but they've been sold over xmas, a nice Red one, and a Blue one. Looking for Black interior, Nav, Petrol and Manual gearbox.

Ill only be buying one from BMW, or with a BMW AUC warranty still intact..

Cant believe there was 4 on ABMW before New years day, they've all been sold

You can buy BMW Warranty for a car you buy privately AFAIK.

Yea, aslong as it meets their standard in the 300£ check they carry out. I imagine they always find something that will need changing?

Actually BMW Insured warranty with Mondial (the best one, or so I have read) only require the mileage, and complete service history. The service history doesn't even have to be main dealer, can be approved independents.

Bought my E92 335i privately and currently have the Mondial BMW Insured Warranty.

41K miles on the clock, costs me £46/month for comprehensive cover, with a £100 excess. This also includes Roadside Assistance across UK & Europe. I think its about £9/month less without the roadside assistance.

Hope that helps.

welcome to the site, pretty new here myself tbh

Ahh, interesting, so when you got the car was it already warranted?

If you claim do you take the car to a BMW dealer?

Not considered any other warranty other than Approved BMW warranty as I imagine they are a pain to get them to pay out..

Is this the cover your talking about?

Do they cover you without seeing the car or inspecting it?

Thanks for any info

If you buy AUC it will come with 12 months anyway which you can then extend, at a cost of course, when you buy or just before it expires.

When I had the E46 M3 I had the comp BMW/Mondial warranty. It was £73ish a month and all I had to do was give them the mileage figure. I had some warranty work done on it and the dealer just asked to photocopy the service book which was mostly independent. Everything was fine and all I had to pay was my £100 excess. Just to make you aware though, the monthly cost would have been a fair bit more if the car had more than 60k miles on the clock.

So of you don't buy AUC and go for a Mondial warranty, make sure the service history is spot on and be aware of the premium increase at >60k miles.

If you ring BMW/Mondial they'll send you a table with all of the options of cover at a whole load of different costs so you can tailor it to suit your budget.

Welcome to the forum btw.

Cheers

Dave

Sorry, forgot one important bit:

If you have the Mondial warranty on a car below 60k miles and it then passes 60k miles the premium does not increase to that of a >60k mile quote. It would only increase if you cancelled/missed payment and had to start again.

No it wasn't, doesn't have to be...you can get the warranty any time so long as you have a full service history for it and it is within their mileage limits.

Yes is the answer to both of those questions. They agree to cover the car as long as you have the full service history for it.

When you make a claim, the service book will be verified as proof.

Flame me down for not searching well enough, but am I right in saying anything 57plate and onwards is more fuel efficient and less tax?

Ive read on Pistonheads sept 2007> had better MPG and was in the 270ish tax band?

Also, Ive found a highline car for sale, whats special about it being a highline over a normal msport?
