Floormat bunching?

I have a 335i coupe and have a small problem with the floormats making a hump right where my heels hit the floor. I installed them correctly and used the anchors but they still bunch. I've taken them out and even ironed them but that only fixes it for a few days. Does anybody know a solution to this problem?

problem is caused by not having an anchoring point like the Mercedes mats

That's why I also got the BMW rubber mats. Interestingly that bmw is replacing them because they completely bleached out after being detailed.

No, they don't have anchoring points. On my old E55, the mats have two anchoring points that attaches to the carpet floor right in front of the front seat rails.

Yup, that solved the problem. That means Mercedes is better than BMW.

Kidding, of course... Floor mats; who needs 'em?

Seriously, those anchors were very useful

Yup, I like how they match the leather / floor mats too, and how they are not all black (I have light interior). You had a W210 E55? Those were brutal, in a good way.

Then what are those two velcro style things that the mats stick to?

My summer mats kept bunching up and shifting forwards, when I got the all season rubber mats for winter last year I much prefered them. They are heavier and don't shift around so I just leave them in all year.

Yeah, that is really annoying.

I have cut off a few centimeters and now it doesn't get stuck anymore.

You were supposed to get round discs that screw into the floor. Those are what the velcro on the mats stick to.

My dealership "forgot" to install them. Went back a week later and had them put in. No bunching yet.

Ah I hadn't thought that maybe some people didn't get them. Every BMW I've ever seen has had the mats anchored.

Do you mean that they are replacing the rubber mats? If so, are the black rubber ones losing color?
