335d / 335i dual exhaust conversion
Seen a 335i earlier today, fabulous car and the twin exhuast on the back looked amazing !!!
I really want to get the dual exhuast on my 320d (e93) I'm not doing a replica or anything just love the look ... Doing it for aesthetic reasons Anyone know where they do conversions ? Or if it's possible to get it done as a package ??? Willing to travel for a good job ( if someone can point me in the right direction) Last edited by Kassim786; 02-05-2014 at 02:45 PM.. |

Go to local garage to get a custom dual exit made.
Buy a M sport diffuser. 335i backboxes are really big , no chance you can use ours. It will need to be made with custom works.

I had mine done at the local exhaust fabricator. You will need the 335 diffuser and they will be able to make you one to fit. Mines got custom pipe work and standard 335 exhaust tips weld on for a OEM look

Do you think when I sell it on it could be one of those mods that would effect the resale ?
I currently have the LCI rear bumper that had the middle thing at the bottom if you get me haha |

That sport plus diffuser is uuuuugly so won't be a bad thing getting rid haha!
It'll probably put a lot of people off it having a 335 exhaust on a 320d. I think I'm gonna keep it subtle when I upgrade mine & just go for the 325/330d back box which is a fairly straight fit with an extra bracket. |

Really pal you reckon people would be out off ?... Surely it looks better than the single pipe 320d ?... I just don't want to jeopardise my future sale and lose money too Not seen how the 330d ones are but the 335D's are sexy !!!! |

You can always keep your standard back box and put it back on when you come to sell the car, then you can sell your 335 style set up to get some money back. That's what I've done

Yeah the 330d is just twin pipes but on the left hand side rather than either side |

I used MIJ in the past, exhaust was very loud, even though I said as quiet as possible. so won't use them again, workmanship was great.

I have a e90 320d and the previous owner had the 335 pipes done on the back, it drew me to the car tbh so as for when it comes to sell the car i dont think it would be a problem

I really want to do it, found a decent place for the full conversion including lower diffuser
But .... I don't want anything to harm my chances of a sale in the future like even if I p/x it back to the dealers wouldn't they try knock me down as it would be after market ? |

I think the dealers could be funny personally. Just as an example how picky they can be, every time i get mine serviced they pull me up saying my tyres have failed their check, i.e wrong size and there not runflats.

yep, deffo would go against you come re-sale.
if they have to retail it again through AUC, then it is gonna get questioned by potential buyers , hence they'll probably have to put it back to standard. |

Hmmm much as it hurts me to say ( as iv made the funds possible) I won't go ahead with it.
Firstly I still have a year and a half of warrantey left (out of 3yrs) so don't want to be bummed just Incase something arises ... I know how slippery dealers can be to get out of problems so I'll keep it standard. Plus long term I'm not keeping the car max around (2015) so no point modding it as some people who would be paying 16k+ on a car would question it + I think if limit my customer audience to the niche who like modded cars most of them Wouldn't touch it I guess |

Surely if it's well made you should be able to revert to stock in an hour or so?
Just change the rear box and valance and you'd never know it was on there |
