Oxygen Sensor replacement Bank2 Sensor1
I have a Service engine soon light. I took my car to Oreillys and the code was Code was P112D.
I also took it to a BMW service shop. They said that at 52k, it probably isn't the oxygen sensor but that is what the code was saying. They gave me a price of almost $400 to replace. I called another BMW service shop and they said it probably isn't the sensor because of the mileage. I called BMW and they wanted $120 to look at it. Should I just replace it myself? How much does that sensor usually run (and who sells them)? I always thought the warranty was something like 4yrs/50k. Is the sensor somehow still covered? |

Check your emissions warranty. It could be covered up to 80,000 miles. A P1XX code is a special manufacturer code, but the source I checked had no P112D code for BMW. Get the car properly scanned with a BMW scan tool.
