what are these parts - found under hood!
part numbers 4431 8 942 617 and 618.
One has L (left) and other R (right) Found under hood when cleaning. One by firewall on passenger side and other over passenger side headlight??? Both loose , not attached to anything?? 2011 328i coupe

Passenger side headlight? Who was working on the car? Lol those keep stuff out of the water drain gutter holes where the A pillars meet the hood.

Those catch the leaves and other crap that fall on the edges of your hood below the windshield...there removable so that you can pull them out and empty them. Mine usually have leaves and twigs in them.

Theyre the drain covers for the winshield/roof channels. They fit in place on opposite sides hence left and right at the top corner of engine bay if your looking at it from the front bumper. They just sit there dont snap in or anything, just a snug fit. Im not great at descriptions but I hope that helped!

Thanks all for the response, i just picked up the car (off lease) last Wednesday, and not sure who has been under the hood!
I'll put them where they belong...now!
