Is this close to impossible, or is it me?
Hey guys. New member here.
Coming over from Audi Looking to get into an E92. A couple friends have it and I am in love with it and the N54 engine with its tuning capabilities. I had the 2.7 biturbo, which is almost similar to this one just V not Inline. Tons of power to be made with just a tune. Here is what I am looking to get: 2007-2010 335I Coupe Space Gray Red interior Manual transmission Premium Package Sports Package Cold Weather Package Navigation I've been looking everywhere for it and have seem to keep coming up short, with it being automatic, or not having nav, or what have you. Am I looking for a super rare E92? Budget is around 25g, so I am hoping to find an 07-08 instead of a newer one with "decent" miles, like less than 90 is fine with me. My Audi A6 has 160 on it and I beat it up every single time I drive it. haha Thanks for any input/tips on this. Last edited by Nicky92; 02-12-2014 at 08:01 PM.. |

Being very specific can always be a problem, with time you will probably find exactly what you want because I'm sure that combination exists. However you will either have to wait or decide to compromise on something. Grey on red or black on red or white on red are all great color combos. honestly red goes great on ALMOST on color. As for coupes they will usually have sports package, the people who original buy them (i find) usually opt for it, and a car with premium package is not at all hard to find. Navigation is totally hit or miss.

That seems like the exact same car as this guy's
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=944155 Says that it took him 4 months to find that car. It's not impossible to find, they're out there but I don't think being extremely picky will be a good idea if you're in a hurry. Especially when you're buying a used car. |

Be willing to wait or even travel to find the car you want. Took me a bit of searching but I found the exact car I wanted. Had to travel from Toronto to Delaware to get it but it was well worth it. Great choice with Space Gray.

I am super picky. I've never bought a car in my own state. I've always traveled to other states haha.
I am on Long Island, NY. I've been to Rhode Island for a Durango, Boston for an A6 and Vermont for an S4. My gf works for JetBlue so it won't be a problem to hop on a plane and drive it back |

I'm from LI too! Nassau or suffolk? If you don't mind traveling then maybe you'll have some luck finding one! You're forgetting the cold weather package and those heated seats? have you been outside lately? haha |

Thats the exact combo I have minus the nav (don't like the extra bump in the dash).
Took me about nine months to find one, hardest part was finding a manual transmission. Maybe its just where I live. |

Manuals aren't as common as they used to be, red interior is pretty rare, and in my experience, most cars will have premium OR sport, but most won't have both.
I drive a 2007 328xi with cold weather, premium, sport, iDrive, xenons, manual trans, nav, and it was super hard to find. They are out there, but you may have to travel, and may have to give a little. The biggest issue I cam across was that most with manual trans are pretty stripped out; most who opted for ALL the options wanted automatics. That said, they are out there, but not the easiest to find. I lucked out with mine, but also paid a premium for it too....and if you want an Xi loaded with a manual, take what you can get- there might be 10 for sale in all of the US max. |

The manual will be a problem imho. And without it, NAV, color, etc., that is neither here nor there.
Seems like 7 yrs. ago, it was still the USA that didn't like to use a clutch. People would say, I like having a clutch, but there is so much traffic where I live (which has nothing to do with anything). But today, it seems the entire world dislikes manuals. Try to get a used Porsche with a clutch. Good luck. |

I got something similar to what you have, took me about 5 months finding the right one, the wait was well worth it, however I find the navigation kinda outdated and dumb to use, I always pair my iPhone and use google maps and it just speaks the directions through the speakers, and I got 6 stack CD player (useless as) and came with aux input, not USB, if anything I recommend having an USB input over navigation if you really can't find one

I too was dead set on a manual and unable to find one. My local dealership had a 335i 6at with paddle shifters and I decided to go test drive it.
Needless to say I drove the car home! |

Took me 6 months to find mine and ended up with exactly what I was looking for. I didn't want that old nav system anyway so I was happy to find it without the nav. I didn't know it at the time but Comfort Access would be on my list if I were doing it all over again. Not a deal breaker but it is nice not to have to put the key in the dash.
