All Error Warnings Show Up
Basically what the title says. About once a week all the errors will show up on my dash board and the the "service engine soon" light comes on. Of the warnings I'll get a yellow gear then a red gear and then my car basically won't shift out of first. This lasts till I turn my car off and leave it off for 30 or so minutes. When I turn it back on all the warnings will go away but it will take another day for the "service engine soon" light to go off. Any ideas what could be causing this? I've searched a little and have seen that it could be the battery?
Details: 2006 325i 82k miles Warnings: Yellow and red brake light (as if the emergency brake is up) Yellow brake (circle with exclamation point and two parentheses) Red and yellow gear Tire pressure DSC warning Car lifted on jack (red) I'll provide a picture next time this comes up!!!

Alright, since you seem to think its the battery and from what I've seen online, they think it's the battery. Then, I guess I should at least go check out the battery. I will go after work and let you guys know what my results are.

Just got back from AutoZone and they checked my battery. Battery is fine. They then read my error codes because of course the problem happened to me on my way home. Codes I got: P0700, P1407, and P1408. Any ideas guys?

p1408 and 1407 were EGR valve related..
p0700 is about transmission control system..

go to a real mechanic not autozone. im a technician and i hate when people bring their stupid slip in from autozone with a code on it trying to tell us "autozone said its xxx part". there are many reasons why a car would throw a check engine light. also, these cars will throw codes a generic obd2 code reader wont pick up. take it to someone who knows what they are doing.
