Hope you weren't waiting for the blue coupe

It may be a little late reaching your dealership....

In Phila.....the only thing I could imagine is the carrier was leaving the dealership and tried to take a shortcut to the expressway....looked like the rear trailer was unhitched and it had a 535 that only sustained a dented trunk....

What would worry me is when I worked near the airport, I would see cars with the film still on it and stickers, in for repair. The 535 will probably get repaired and the buyer will never know, until 7 yrs. from now the paint starts cracking and the trunklid is rusting.....

I recently had some work done on my car, and got a call from my service manager. Apparently my front bumper had been repainted--the foglights had overspray on them.

FYI: I bought the car brand new--Factory Order--from that very dealership back in September '07.

Curious, did your car have 3 miles on it when you took delivery, or more than that? My car was a factory order too, and they called me on the Friday it came in. I didn't have time to pick it up, so I got it Saturday. They had to drive it to storage for Fri. night, and then bring it back on Sat morning.

Now if it had gotten damaged in transit, I bet I would have gotten a call two weeks later that the car was ready. This is why BMW lets you track the car to port, but not after that.

My car had I think 1.5 miles on it.

Amazing, so they would repair it AND be careful to not drive it during the repair process....and what is up with the extra 1.5 mi on my car!?!

Railroad bridge only had 11'8" clearance, he was over 13', and the road being snow packed made it worse. I interviewed one of the patrolmen on the scene ( watched a lot of Law and Order back in the day ).

That's what I first thought. He really misjudged his clearance.
