JB4 Electronic Wastegate

Has anyone installed the JB4 Map 2 that has the electronic wastegate and if so what have been you findings regarding performance ie HP torque - I have been told it will be significantly less until the wastegate is fixed

But basically you'll be 20-30 HP short of those running with the pneumatic waste gate.

Still worth it IMO and you'll be able to upgrade your software to the one that works with the electronic waste gate once it's released.

Thanks my car is a 14 335 GT with N55 engine - but what you said about HP is about what I have heard - maybe more of a loss in torque

I have it on my 320i I would definitely say it feels like a stage one kit at least, but can't wait for them to come out with a fix for it so I can get full power.

So, if we'd only be running the JB4 on map 1 (no downpipe), the electronic vs pneumatic waste gate makes no difference, right?

It's about 30whp less with electric wastegate .. I've seen stage 1 still dosent boost 12.5psi they still close to 11-11.5psi .. And map 2.(14.5psi) will make no difference ull be stuck at 11.5psi max ..

It is, and during my search for a tuning solution I read hundreds of threads and determined that it's essentially the same thing as Stage 1. BMS says that you'll be somewhere between Stage 1 and Stage 2 but where are the dynos? If you're looking at a piggyback, I'd just grab a stage one off of the classifieds here and call it a day. They may never crack the electronic wastegate issue. The F30 has been in a pain in the ass for tuners. Dinan is stuck, Vishnu gave up, and Cobb won't even touch it.

I would get a JB4 because once they figure out a solution it will be an added feature for the Jb4 (most probably free )

looks as though the fix is close to complete for the electronic waste gate issue. maybe I will go BMS intake and JB4 and forget about the MPPK...
