New Fuel Tank Due to Failed Hose Clamp?

2010 328xi - Fuel supply line came off due to failed hose clamp. Dealer claims excess pressure inside the regulator forced the hose off, but I suspect that the clamp just came loose. Anyway, they want to replace the fuel tank.

Legit, or a money grab?

Thanks!

I would do a visual inspection at the dealership before letting them move forward
