A few changes.....

When I bought my E93 it came with tinted windows and I was never sure if I liked them or not

Well I decided I didn't yesterday when I saw an identical car with standard glass so this morning armed with a wallpaper steamer I removed the films.

Took an hour from start to finish and 95% clean removal and the little residue that was left was easily cleaned off with some petrol

End result which I prefer....

I much prefer being able to see in the car and the deatail of the rear window and headrests...

Then to my next change. I bought some new exhaust trims from BMW and they come as a dull chrome finish. I prefer bright chrome, so off they went to a local polishing shop and the outer dull chrome finish was removed along with the copper layer then they were down to the stainless steel which was polished to a glass finish.

So I now have a sparkly rear end

Thats all for now. Car is just how I want it

Jon

Very Shiny!!!

I love my tints. I don't think they are too dark but i guess it all depends on the mods.

I hate tints on a non modded car. Looks a little off

Suits your car well!!! Did you have any trouble removing the tint from the rear window? I heard sometimes the heated window lines can come off...

Well I have posted plenty of pics with the tints and I guess it's a personal choice thing

No trouble at all. You need steam to soften and heat the bonding glue and it just peels off. Easy peasy. Saw a you tube video on how to do it

Yours is in a different league to mine mate and it suits your car. With mine it was a bit to dark all over so the clearer windows clean it up I think

Did the original tips just pull off or do these go on top?

They need a bit of persuasion

I put a flat blade screw driver on the inside edge at the back of the trim and tapped the screw driver with a rubber mallet.

They are held in place with spring clips and they just slide over the original outlet pipes.

Takes 5 mins to pop off then you can give them a proper clean or like me a polish

I bought some new ones from bmw thinking my old ones were shot but they cleaned up like new I'm getting both sets polished to the bright stainless finish and I'll keep the originals as spares. So standard OEM tips
