Valuation Help
hey guys,
I've just ordered a new E class estate because we need something bigger, so I need to sell my 335i but im not sure how to value it. I'd prefer to leave it with mods on. Any help is appreciated! spec is: 56 Plate N54 335i Touring, Manual. OEM spec is very comprehensive including; CCC professional Logic 7 DAB Adaptive Xenons Panoramic Roof Electric Heated Leather Bluetooth Cruise MF Steering Wheel Climate electric fold away towbar and it goes on Mods are: JB4 BMS DCI Eibach springs Bilstien Shocks 230 Twist 19's Black line rear lights Genuine BMW performance Carbon interior trim Carbon badges and wheel centres M3 front suspension (not fitted) full CIC professional with DAB M sport rear bumper and side skirt performance front bumper (i think) AR Design downpipes Cyba black chrome Tips active autowerks intercooler forge BOVs Setrab oil cooler roofbar delete LED interior light upgrade LED angel eyes LED fogs LED front indicators LED reversing lights LED Number plate lights Schnitzer pedals I've probably missed a bunch of stuff off condition is great for its age. 48K miles, always serviced with BMW recommended oil, genuine BMW plugs, pads etc. Bad Bits: I need some help with some CAN funnies with the car that i will be trying to get to the bottom of presale, currently the NAV is not enabled on the CIC as the emulator doesnt work correctly. The PDC has stopped giving warnings recently i need this diagnosing. One of the adaptive lights has stopped turning with the steering input, causing a cornering lights fault. again i hope i can find someone to diagnose and fix this pre sale. pictures are ones i've dug off my phone, and are awful. will obviously need to take some proper ones for the for sale thread. So my two pence worth... Non-standard mods are a problem as it would put peeps off and I would personally avoid the car - but that's just me! Downpipes, oil coolers, intercoolers, etc, etc, etc means nothing to the next person unless they are into mods too (and ultimately attract no extra value), but adding nav, etc is good (as long as it works properly!).
The car is worth as much as any other 335i touring with similar mileage and "original" options I think. |

I agree. I dont think that its worth more per say but your sure as hell going to sell it. Allot arent clever enough to put two and two together but put it this way.
100 people want a 335 touring. 10 of them want a modded one or are interested in modding. there are 500 standard cars and 1 modded Your niche market just becane a sure thing. 10 people are now fighting over 1 car the other 90 now have 499 cars to sift through making the sale of each of those far from a sure thing. |

cheers guys. I hear what your saying. selling modded cars is a niche, and its hard to convey a well cared for tuned car compared to a halfords special. having said that a 335i touring with a manual box is pretty niche which ever way it is.
I always liked the wheels, because they are oem but off a coupe, never seen this combo on the road. |

As mentioned by others, a modded car has a limited appeal to other modders, and those that are not in the know are unlikely to want pay a premium for it. Good luck smoked, hope you sell it! Last edited by G82Dude; 02-22-2014 at 06:07 AM.. |
