313s - Refurb or Ferric Grey

My 313s need a refurb and I don't know if I should have them diamond cut again or just get them done in ferric grey. I'm just worried that if I get them diamond cut the lacquer will go again!!

The lacquer will always go eventually, it's just par for the course with 313s..in fact any diamond cut wheel.

Everywhere will want the wheels to do Diamond cut over a bit of time ... they can't be done while you wait is my understanding.

I had one done by Lepsons on which the lacquer and overall finish is hugely superior to the standard ones. Lepsons will collect and return but you will be losing the wheels for the best part of 3 weeks.

FWIW there is a picture of the one I had done in the FS section if you wish to see a photo of one by them unused (if you search under posts by my username) as I am selling / effectively have sold my car ... can't take away from Lepsons the quality of their refurb though.

3 WEEKS?!?!?

Ok i appreciate they do them to a fantasic standard but thats just a joke IMO, i had mine turned around in less than 3 days & again, the finish is exceptional.

They only collect from each area once a week, do them and return ... once a week - unless you send them yourself ... thus the timescale I put.

I am sure they can turn around quickly but if you use their collection / delivery drivers (which are free) it takes a while.

Ferric

Diamond cut wheels are just not worth the bother. Sooner car manufacturers sack them off the better

From experience if they are machine cut with just laquer you be lucky to get 6 months before it goes. I've had a set done by lepsons twice and each time less than 6 months before the finish failed. Now just had them stripped and done all over one colour. Shame to loose the look but far better stronger finish
