Hey everyone. I am trying to figure out if anyone has added paddle shifters to their F30 yet? I have a base line 328 and my friend is upgrading his steering wheel on his 135is and will make me a killer deal on it. Just looking to confirm it can be done, works and if there are any tricks.

It can be done if you're willing to buy a whole new steering wheel with shifters etc and pay for wiring etc but retrofitting paddles to a wheel without them is a no go from what i understand

Sweet got the wheel and paddles covered. Any idea where I can find the wiring?

You need to find a solid aftermarket BMW speciality shop and work with them on it. If you have the wheel and paddles, thats the bulk of cost and parts.. Find a good shop, tell them what you want & they'll figure out the wiring. Thats the least of your worries.

For me, I already have the M Sport steering wheel, just w/out paddles, so paddle shifters are not so important to me that I'm going to get a whole new steering wheel w/paddle shifters, but I would definitely like to have them. Contrary to some, I'd probably use them often. I like driving aggressively w/both hands on the wheel.

but without the shift paddles and the cruise control commands. I tried to search the same steering wheel but with the paddles and cruise commands on internet to buy ( also the item code) but i couldn't find it. Does someone know were I can buy it ( or the item code) ?

Not sure though about differences in airbags as far as compatibility with US spec airbags (which mine is)..

As far as people posting about adding wires, I am not sure why this is the case for some people.. All I did was install steering wheel, and change some coding and it worked instantly..

Thanks KapKanimd, but im living in europe and here I found the M sport one (that usually is more expensive) in a lower price.
