Dealer prep time....
How long did people have to wait from once your car reached the dealer to when you could pick it up? My dealer is telling me they need two days to prep the car before I can pick it up. 2 days seems long considering it just went to the VPC.

It took my dealer about an hour and a half, your dealer must be real backed up or they are full of shit or they are trying to repair something they screwed up

I'm officially getting the car on Wednesday night. The car isn't physically at the dealer yet, and since they are closed Sunday and Monday. Apparently they have to load software for the nav and other stuff and with the part time holiday schedule they cant get it done earlier. Not the end of the world, I'm just getting a late christmas gift. For those guys who are getting there's this week, post some pics!

My 330i is still in production but I've been told to expect a 3 day prep time. I think my dealer is just busy. Everytime I go there I see at least 7 cars already prepped for delivery waiting in the delivery area. By the time I get mine it will have been a 2 and a half month wait...so whats 3 more days.

I understand they have to upload final software, install freon, and do final cleaning. Not sure, but doesn't the Satellite Radio installation get done at the dealership too?

I'm through trying to figure it out. They might be giving me some bullsh*t, maybe not, but it is what it is so I'll just have to wait it out. I just wish I was with another dealer because it seems like everyone else is getting theres with no problem.
