Ok, your gonna have to go to best buy or order from amazon to get the case. I know there are other places who carries the attachments but cant think of any. It has an attachment that clips from the camera case to the clip that will attach on the dash or where ever you put it.

http://www.amazon.com/Carbon-Design-...498517&sr=1-10 Weird I can't find the regular clear protective cases... Then the mount would look something like this? http://gopro.com/camera-mounts/remov...trument-mounts

Thats like a sticker... I would just go to BestBuy and pick up the suction cup mount one. I have it, works well. I like in car upside down mounted on sunroof.

If you want the camera in the car get the skeleton case so that the mic isn't covered up. A suction cup mount in the windshield is also a good place to put it and the gopro suction cups are solid.

I have used the suction cup on the front driver door for a video. Worked well, except the wind noise. If I were to do it again I'd do the same spot, but with a remote mic on the back bumper to get the exhaust note.

I use the GoPro car mount.
For exhaust videos, I mount the camera on the trunk.

OP:
Go Pro can be placed anywhere you want... Heck you can put it as a hood ornament and it's perfectly fine! They stick very well, as long as you have a relatively flat and clean surface. Try to vary the places you put it, because it can become very boring to watch the footage from the exact same place for hours... I hope you will post your ED photos

I would also recommend getting more batteries. The batteries don't last too long if you're trying to record a lot. Depending on your budget the backpack and another internal battery would be good. I did 6 laps at Nurburgring with 1 stock battery and the backpack and it barely lasted the whole time shooting HD and with wifi on for some of it. You might be able to use a USB cable to provide power, but I've never tried that.
