It's surprising how much quieter Sport+ is now. I thought I was a chad driving around making too much noise... no one outside of my car even noticed me.

🤣🤣🤣. So true. All of that "noise" was just for our own personal enjoyment.

It also reduces the drone. If they're going to give us fake noise, why have a drone at all. Make it sound good. It was the same way in the F87. A full axleback exhaust had less drone than the fake noise pumped in.

Gave her a quick wash before car show tomorrow.

Replaced center cap that came with wheels from black & gold to classic red & gold.

IMO gives her a bit more character against the red callipers.

Washed the car after almost 3 weeks out of town. It was filthy! This is the first wash after installing the iSweep2000. Will report back on my experiemce under the iSweep thread in a few weeks.

But honestly barely louder than oem on cold start with valves closed other than that initial rattle. But if you park rear first and start with garage door shut its non existent outside.
That is going to be the biggest change. Coming out of an E92 M3 with test pipes and axle backs, then the S550 Mustang with Ford Performance Extrememe Axle backs and Borla Switchfire. However, here in S.Cali they are writing up exhaust referee tickets like an elephant going through peanuts.

Was gonna go with a mid-pipe but it doesn’t seem worth the risk in So Cal.

What I did to my 4-day old M2 today was, ran over some shite on the motorway, limped two miles to the exit and got it recovered.
New right rear required and a body shop to sort this😭

Is this based on DB levels or what are they basing it on? If so mid and ab may still be fine but catless dp would likely put you over any threshold.

That grill with BSM is going to make this car look mean.

Replaced the stock (chrome) crossover pipe with the ceramic coated (black) unit from Evolution Racewerks to go with the ER mid pipes.
I haven't noticed a huge difference in sound, though it does seem a little louder or maybe a lower tone, what I did notice though was a bit more push in the mid rpm range. The G87 has a pretty damn good mid range punch as is but this really opened it up. Totally worth the minimal cost and minimal effort to install (took 15 minutes).

Nice! I have the same exact midpipe and crossover pipe sitting in boxes waiting. That’s great to hear you actually noticed a power gain. Looks awesome.

Does ER give torque specs on all their hardware/clamps? I haven’t opened up the boxes to check…

The instructions are hilarious.
1. Remove 13 mm bolts from xxx
2. Remove 13 mm bolts from xxx
3. Remove stock pipes
4. Reverse to install
5. Enjoy
Those are literally what the instructions are for their products. The thing is, it's pretty damn easy to do. There's no torque specs or anything but just torque the nuts down and you're good to go.

Thinking about getting one. Prob no difference in sound or performance but that squished spot on the stock pipe annoys me. Probably does help though if replacing downpipes in the future.

My buttdyno feels like it made a difference in the mid range for sure over stock. I'm actually curious, there's a few guys near me with G87s and I may line up and see what happens. I am betting with my lighter wheels and the exhaust, there may be a noticeable difference. Or not, maybe my buttdyno needs to be recalibrated, which sounds...painful.
