If Wentz is fully recovered from his torn ligaments, there's no chance in hell Foles starts. The thought is that Foles will command a 2nd round draft pick if he's traded. The Eagles may or may not do that. Personally, unless someone offers a 1st rounder for him, they should keep him as a backup. It's an invaluable position as evidenced by this past season.

Belichick was out coached by Pederson. And the icing on the cake was when Nick Foles caught the TD on 4th down before the end of the half. The look on Patricia's & Belichick's face was priceless. And Classy Brady never shook Foles hand after the game.

LOL, yea he definitely should have caught that one. Just for fun, go look at his combine video where he's running the 40. He looks like a 6'5" out of shape gamer that went to the NFL combine on a dare. Incredible that the same person in that video is now widely considered the GOAT.

Easily the gutsiest call I've ever seen in a Super Bowl. It was awesome to watch. Both of the radio announcers I was listening to were lambasting Pederson for going for it on 4th down before the ball was snapped. After the ball was snapped, they were singing a different tune...

I'm a huge Redskins fan but I was happy to see the Eagles win and especially watch Foles do so well for himself.

I'm guessing it's leaning towards a discipline move vs Butler. So assuming the worst, he was late for a meeting, weed, women, would you have done what Belichick did? Or would you punish the dude after the SB?

Butler definitely would have maDe a difference, to change the outcome, who knows, but he definitely would have performed better than his replacements.

Butler wrote a long comment on twitter, basically saying he didnt do nothing. Brady, Hightower, and other players liked his tweet. Brady also commented to his tweet saying he support him 100% or something like that....check it out on twitter.

Its now a player vs coach thing here.

Sorry to steal the thunder from philly fans, but Belachick fucked up here for whatever reason or whatever intension he had.

Ya, a former Pats even commented it was a locker room divided.

I don't think it takes away from the Eagles' win though. It's not guaranteed Butler would've won it for them and there are too many variables.

I wonder if Butler was the one that leaked all the drama about the Pats. Coach Belichick finds out last minute and he's benched. With how poorly the Pats played, Butler would have been able to make one play. And that would have been the difference.

Also, there were 2 plays that could have gone either way for TDs and Eagles got both calls in their favor. The first was highly questionable. It's surprising the Pats didn't get one of those calls in their favor.

Well when the pass was caught he clearly dove for the EZ
so imo he had possession and crossed the plane .. TD

like the other guys said I think its less how poorly the Pats played as opposed to how well the offenses on both sides played
just no stopping them

the Eagles play aggressively all night.. then they nearly made a mistake.. actually DID make a mistake which they got bailed out of by the strip of Brady
given the chance to seal the game with a first down, they elected to run 3 downs and give up the ball.. to TOM BRADY??????? BIG MISTAKE which nearly cost them
I dont know how many times in college and pro football over the many decades I've seen this happen already.. hasnt anyone figured it out? guess its human nature
credit the Eagle D for the save
yea alil luck involved

Plain and simple. The Eagles out played the Patriots. Pederson out coached Belichick.

Butler isn't the best corner in the league or even close to that. There are too many variables to conclude he would have made a difference. Eric Rowe is taller .. a bigger man than Butler. And the eagles let him go. maybe Belichick thought that might factor into it.

He may not be the best corner even on his team. But he played all year and practiced all week. To not play him at all is just silly.

And the eagles beat them with a back-up quarterback.

So a Pro Bowl Corner isnt good???

The point is that BB/Pats always make second half adjastments and they didnt do anything in the S/H of the superbowl is beyond me

Rowes isnt that good, he got torched in the first half but still no adj after halftime is ridiculous

Can Butler change the game....maybe not, but can he make a few key plays? Definitely
