10/15 - Placed order (dealer had 2 allocations about to go into production)

11/17 - Production Date

12/16 - Arrived into port of Newark

12/26 - Delivery!!!!!! Could have picked up 12/23 but didn’t want to take the car home in the crazy weather.

While I got lucky with my timeframe I would have gladly waited longer if needed. Fantastic car!

They will. I ordered mine from there and I'm in the SLC area.

BMW of North Scottsdale typically has allotments, too. The driving time between there and LA isn't much different from LA to SF.

Luckily, the dealer had an allocation ready when I called. I probably called 10 other dealers before I happened to call the last one.

Allocation didn't come until July for me. I wasn't in a hurry but, had I known it would take this long, I definitely would have searched for an allocation. Original estimate was the car would arrive in July. I also suspect my original sales guy screwed something up since he suddenly left the company and my allocation came in shortly after receiving a new sales guy.

Nearly 9 months.

Put deposit down April 6th - I was told then the earliest to look for an allocation was June. Didn't get one until October, week 45 build (pushed to week 46).

Taking delivery tomorrow

Ordered 15th May, looks like my car is arriving into UK today so should be another couple weeks. Will be about 8 months all in.

...but given that I sold my SQ2 back in April 22, and have been using my other half's Kia Picanto, that 8 months feels more like 18
