Is this kit just springs? Or coil overs with shocks?

Thanks.

Not this one?

https://www.shopbmwusa.com/PRODUCT/5...ANCE-COILOVERS

Then at $2860 for just springs, I would rather delete that and just buy the coilover afterwards, unless the coilover can be a port-installed option too. Seems like an expensive option just to get springs. Even Porsche only charges around $1500 as an option for springs in a 992 turbo S.

They aren't just lowering springs, they are height adjustable springs, with labor and under the full manufacturer's warranty.

I didn't look into the coils but keep in mind, IF they can be port installed, the price wont be what is on the website (that is just the base price if item is purchased for after delivery install without labor, taxes, etc.). You can probably add at least $1,000 to the price if available for port install.

Glad to see you got it.

It looks like they checked the alignment but then made no adjustments or atleast didn’t report them. It also doesn’t list the stock specs as a reference.

Check yours vs Ravenseal’s.

I too ordered the M Performance HAS for port install.

I'm glad to see that you got more the -2.0 degrees of front camber. Maybe we can track the car without camber plates and not chew out the front outside tire shoulders.

Question: Do you know how long your car was at the VPC? Wondering how much delay the port install may add.

Serious question for those ordering the MP HAS, are you going to track the car or doing it just for the looks? Trying to justify the $288 per lowered mm and can't...

I would love to know how much time this adds at the port too, my car is ready for transport and I'm on the fence about ordering the MP HAS

I plan to roll race the car, but that's not why I have it primarily. Lowered cars just feel more stable to me personally when driving. Best thing overall it that the dealer installs it and BMW warranties it.

And yeah, it looks awesome "slammed" on OEM suspension.

I'm only doing it in the hope that it improves track performance - could care less about the looks. And it is more of a hope, as I have yet to see a conclusive before after review.

My thinking is, the lowering will likely:
1 - Add a tiny bit more static negative camber (anything helps).
2 - Slightly lower static C.G.
3 - The G80/G82 calibration (stiffer rear springs) will further reduce understeer (which I despise).
4 - Slightly reduce high speed lift.
5 - Provide some corner balancing adjustability.
6 - Placebo effect, that I at least tried it

Never seen anyone break the cost down by the mm. Anyway, I have the HAS being installed and no plans to track it (a little street racing maybe ). While it will look better, it will also allow to handle better, in general.

Your car looks sick. I too ordered BSM, MP HAS, and I have black 826M wheels sitting in the garage. I need to come hang out with you guys in Long Island. Car scene in my area across the sound in CT is lame!

Are you going to MPACT? That should be pretty fun.

First year I'm not going. I'm an instructor at NASA, and we always used to co-run the event with MPACT, running the infield track. But this year it conflicts with our NJMP race weekend.

Next year, once I have my M2, I'll be there

I was trying to add the suspension kit before my 24 went into production to be completed at Port however my CA said it was to late. My next request was to have it completed by the dealership before final delivery but they indicated it was not in the parts catalog for 24 yet only M3/M4.

I would think they would no better than me and now it's not looking good.

Aftermarket it is.
